GPT Group (GPT) is one of the largest diversified property groups in Australia. The company owns and operates a multi-billion dollar portfolio of retail, office and logistics property assets across Australia, primarily located along the eastern seaboard.
Some of GPT’s major properties include Melbourne Central and Highpoint in Victoria, and Australia Square and Westfield Penrith in New South Wales.
The company’s history dates back to 1971 when the General Property Trust was listed on the ASX as Australia’s first-ever property trust. The trust was launched and managed by Lendlease Group (ASX: LLC) until GPT separated from Lendlease in 2005 and became the independent company it is known as today.

Will GPT Group pay a dividend in 2020?
GPT Group typically pays twice-yearly, unfranked distributions in late February and August each year. The company’s most recent payment was a final distribution of 13.37 cents per stapled security paid on 28 February 2020. Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19 shutdowns, GPT Group announced on 19 March 2020 it was withdrawing its FY20 earning and distribution guidance. The company further advised it would have its properties revalued on 30 June and release its interim results on 10 August 2020.
Does GPT Group offer a DRP?
GPT Group did operate a dividend reinvestment plan in the past however it has been suspended since 2008.
