    About Yancoal Australia Ltd

    Yancoal Australia Ltd (ASX: YAL) is a coal miner involved in identifying, developing, and operating coal-related projects in Australia. It has a diversified mix of metallurgical and thermal coal mines. It owns, operates, or participates in 11 coal mines across NSW, Queensland, and Western Australia.

    Yancoal’s NSW mines include Moolarben, Hunter Valley Operations, Mount Thorley Warkworth, Stratford-Duralie, Ashton, Austar, and Donaldson. Its Queensland mines include Yarrabee and the Middlemount Joint Venture. Yancoal also manages the Cameby Downs and Premier coal mines in Queensland and Western Australia respectively on behalf of  Yankuang Energy.

    The company's primary geographical markets include Japan, Singapore, China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. Yancoal is majority owned by Yankuang Energy Group Company Limited.

    Mr Moult is an experienced CEO and company director with a career that spans over 40 years across the global mining and coal industries. During his tenure as a Yancoal director, he has been the chairman of the Health, Safety, Environment and Community Committee (6 February 2018 -current), a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (8 June 2018 - current) and a Member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee (8 June 2018 - current). Mr Moult was previously the managing director and CEO of Centennial Coal Company Limited (Centennial) from 2011 to 2017, and then a non-executive director of Centennial from May 2017 until January 2018. Before being appointed as CEO at Centennial, he had held the position of a Chief operating officer from 1998 to 2011. Mr Moult previously held senior management positions at Joy Mining Machinery in the USA and Australia, RJB Mining PLC and British Coal in the UK. Mr Moult is a former director of the Minerals Council of Australia, former chairman and director of the New South Wales Minerals Council, former chairman and director of the Australian Coal Association Low Emissions Technology Ltd, and a former director of the Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group and the Port Kembla Coal Terminal. He is also a Member of the University of NSW Education Trust Advisory Committee. Mr Moult is also a current director of the following industry organisations: Coal Services Pty Ltd; Coal Mines Insurance Pty Ltd; and Mines Rescue Pty Ltd.     Dr Raby was appointed a Director of Yancoal in 2012. He was formerly Australia's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, he was a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). He was Australia's Ambassador to the World Trade Organisation (1998 to 2001), Australia's APEC Ambassador (2003 to 2005), Head of DFAT's Office of Trade Negotiations and Head of the Trade Policy Issues Division at the OECD, Paris. Between 1986 and 1991 he was Head of the Economic Section at the Australian Embassy, Beijing.

    Ms Bakker, has experience of precious metal, base metal and critical mineral mining, oil and gas development, shipping logistics, commodity trading and corporate financing. She currently sits on the Boards of X64 Ltd (ASX: X64), Transhipment Services Australia, IGO Ltd (ASX: IGO) and Auramet Trading LLC. During her career, Ms Bakker, held roles in banking and finance, including: Head of Metals and Mining Origination in Commonwealth Bank of Australias Natural Resources Division; Risk Advisory at Kiodex, a provider of energy risk management solutions; and positions with Standard Bank and Barclays in London and Sydney.

    Mr Xiao was appointed as the director of the Safety Inspection Department of Dongtan Coal Mine of the Yankuang Energy in 2013, and the chairman and the general manager of Guizhou Wulunshan Coal Mining Company Limited in 2014. In 2016, he was appointed as the deputy general manager of Yankuang Guizhou Neng Hua Company Limited. In July 2018, he was appointed as the manager of Jining No. 3 Coal Mine of Yankuang Energy. In April 2020, he was appointed as the vice general manager of Yankuang Energy. In July 2021, he took office as the Secretary of the CPC Yankuang Energy Committee and the general manager of Yankuang Energy,and was appointed as the director of the Yankuang Energy in August 2021.

    Mr Zhang, started his career working at China Construction Bank in 1987 and joined China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. in 1999. From 2008 to 2016, he served as the general manager of China Cinda Shandong Branch and the general manager of the Planning & Finance Department and the Finance & Accounting Department of China Cinda. In 2017, Mr Zhang was appointed as the general manager of the Strategic Client Department IV of China Cinda, responsible for the overall work of the department, and led the completion of several overseas merger and acquisition investment. Mr Zhang is also currently the Chairman of Hebei Xinhua Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. He is a a member of the Strategy and Development Committee.
