Like many ASX shares, Wesfarmers Ltd (ASX: WES) shares are impacted by external events such as inflation, interest rate movements, worldwide events and even what happened with the global share market overnight. But, there are a few key dates that are specifically important to Wesfarmers shareholders.

Wesfarmers is the name behind various leading retailers in Australia, including Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, Priceline and more.

The company's financial results are important because it plays a sizeable part in the Australian economy, particularly with its many employees and the value it brings to consumers.

On the key dates below, investors will learn about the company's progress.

Half-year result

The first important date that owners of Wesfarmers shares should pay attention to is very close!

Next month, the market will see Wesfarmers' FY25 half-year earnings results announcement. The report is expected to be released on 20 February 2025.

Shareholders will learn how the company performed in the last six months of the 2024 calendar year, what trading conditions have been like in the first few weeks of 2025, and outlook commentary.

Strategy day

The next key date to remember is the strategy briefing day, which is scheduled for 22 May 2025.

Wesfarmers may provide some context for the company's recent trading on this day. But what may also be of interest are the various strategies and progress reports that Wesfarmers is likely to share with investors.

I'm very interested to hear how successful Kmart has been in expanding its Anko products into global markets.

Full-year result

The most important date of the year is likely to be the full-year result for the 12 months to June 2024. It expects to report its FY25 financials on 28 August 2025.

Using the forecasts from Goldman Sachs, Wesfarmers is projected to make $45.7 billion in revenue, $4.07 billion in operating profit (EBIT) and net profit after tax (NPAT) of $2.58 billion in FY25.

We'll get to see whether those forecasts are accurate later this year.

2025 annual general meeting (AGM)

The AGM gives the company the opportunity to meet with owners of Wesfarmers shares, tell them how the company performed (in FY25), outline plans, and give a trading update.

It also gives shareholders the chance to vote on important matters, such as the election of directors.

Wesfarmers' AGM is expected to be held on 30 October 2025.

Dividends

Wesfarmers hasn't advised investors of when it expects to pay its dividends yet.

But, in 2024, the company paid its interim dividend and final dividend just over a month after each result was released. So, I think we can expect the Wesfarmers dividends to come fairly soon after the reporting dates.
