ASX World Cup: The first four groups

As we mentioned in this article earlier today, we are conducting our own World Cup, with 32 companies pitched against each other in eight groups of four.

Here’s the list of the first four groups and companies.

Group A (The Banks)

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA)
National Australia Bank (ASX: NAB)
Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX: WBC)

Group B (Resources)

BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP)

Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG)
Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX: NCM)

Group C (Insurers)

AMP Limited (ASX: AMP)

Suncorp Group Ltd (ASX: SUN)

Group D (Infrastructure)

Aurizon Limited (ASX: AZJ)
Sydney Airport Holdings Ltd (ASX: SYD)
Transurban Group (ASX: TCL)
Telstra Corporation Ltd (ASX: TLS)
