In the US, the most expensive time for companies to buy advertising on television is during the single biggest sporting event of the year – the NFL (grid iron for us Aussies) Super Bowl.

Big businesses put a lot of time and an amazing amount of money into producing and then securing a advertising slot for these ads. The Motley Fool doesn't have quite the same budget as some of these businesses, so we produced our own Super Bowl half-time ad… and hosted it on our own website.

We might not have a Super Bowl, but we thought you'd enjoy the ad.

 

By the way, a 30 second slot during the Super Bowl was estimated to cost between $3.5 – $4 million this year…
