Tim McArthur has been a freelance Fool since 2012. After a dangerously close call with a career in politics, he came to his senses and decided to focus on investing instead. Upon returning from an internship with Davis Funds in New York, Tim has put his analyst skills to good use managing his own portfolio. Having studied and practiced value-investing intensively for nearly a decade, Tim is passionate about understanding and valuing businesses and keen to share his knowledge with others to help them first and foremost not lose money and secondly to outperform the market. Tim holds a Degree in Economics (Honours).
