As I highlighted recently in this article investors who know the "magic" of compound interest are at a distinct advantage over other investors as they understand what it takes to build a portfolio which can provide for themselves and their families in the future.

Investors who discover this "magic formula" early enough and also manage to achieve a market-beating return give themselves the chance not just to retire comfortably, but rather to retire very comfortably.

Here are three stocks which not only look appealing investment options at current prices, but they also sell stylish goods which could be a great way for investors to spend some of their future wealth.

1) OrotonGroup Limited (ASX: ORL) is an upmarket retailer of men's and women's apparel and most importantly handbags. Oroton is expanding into China which could help to drive earnings growth. The share price has suffered in recent times which could make now an attractive opportunity to purchase the stock.

2) AP Eagers Limited (ASX: APE) is one of Australia's two leading new car dealers. AP Eagers stable of businesses include Lexus, Porsche, Volvo and Land Rover dealerships. The stock is attractively priced and has a fully franked dividend yield of 4%.

3) Austal Limited (ASX: ASB) is a leading ship builder, has a market capitalisation of $423 million and trades on a forecast PE of less than 10x. While Austal is best known for its contracts for building high speed vessels for the US Navy, it also designs and manufactures world class Super Yachts, what better way to spend your hard earned money.

Motley Fool contributor Tim McArthur does not own shares in any of the companies mentioned in this article.
